For speed and convenience bmi Online Check-in with print boarding pass facility is available on most bmi routes. Online Check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before departure - you can view more information about Online Check-in here.
Self Check-in Machines are available at most UK airports and are available on many routes. These close 30 minutes prior to departure for UK Domestic and Eastern European shorthaul flights and 45 minutes prior to departure for all other routes where applicable. All passengers travelling on Economy (on shorthaul routes) are required to use Online Check-in or Self Check-in where available. You can view more information about Self Check-in here.
You can use bmi Webpoints to check-in for your flight at Heathrow, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Simply retrieve your booking and print your boarding pass.

If you're travelling on a Business, Premium Economy or Economy Flexible fare you can use a Check-in Desk. Desk check-in is also available for Star Alliance Gold card holders and bmi Silver card holders. Desks open at least 2 hours prior to departure. Please check the airport information pages for your departure airport.
If you've checked in online or via our Self Check-in Machines you can use our Bag Drop Desks. Dedicated Online Fast Bag Drop Desks are available at Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Heathrow, Leeds Bradford and Manchester.
- For flights within the EU* check-in will close 30 minutes prior to departure**
- For flights from the UK to the rest of the world check-in will close 45 minutes prior to departure
- For flights to the UK from the rest of the world check-in will close either 45 or 60 minutes prior to departure

You must be at your gate area at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Please observe gate changes at short notice.
We will board your flight by seat row number. If you're travelling with young children or have reduced mobility you will be given priority boarding.
The boarding gate doors close up to 20 minutes prior to departure. If you arrive after this time you may not be accepted for the flight. Please allow sufficient time to check-in and clear security.
If you're connecting via London Heathrow with baggage, you must check-in at least 60 minutes prior to departure or the stated check-in time, if this is longer.
